In the Spirit of Giving

Decorate for the season by lending a hand to those in need. These very cute felt birds were handmade especially for Winnow by the Morning Garden Program of Hands Together - A Center for Children. They come either grey with red stitching or red with grey stitching, and are mounted on a wood clothespin to easily clipped to a tree or twig. The button or stitched eyes are all different, so each bird is unique.

Morning Garden is a unique preschool and parent education program for homeless families and families in transition who have preschool aged children. These especially vulnerable children are provided an early childhood education in a calm and serene environment. Parents are encouraged to participate in parenting and vocational training classes. All the components support the personal and professional development of extremely poor families, recognizing the potential for success in all people, including parents experiencing homelessness.

A Better Black Friday Experience

As always, we encourage everyone to shop small stores (like ours) whenever possible, especially if you want to do some holiday shopping and not end up spending your hard-earned dollars on things that you could find in any mall in the country. Why waste your time slogging through the ordinary, when you can stop in at Winnow and be inspired by a great collection of the unique and wonderful? And you can park right in front of the shop!
